Low-temperature thermochronological database of bedrock in the Japanese Islands

This is a database of FT and (U-Th)/He ages on apatite and zircon obtained from bedrock in the Japanese Islands. Closure temperatures of these thermochronometers range from 50 to 350 deg. C, which is equivalent to exhumation of a few to ca 10 km assuming a general geothermal gradient. These thermochronological data are helpful for understanding long-term (generally 106-108 yr) uplift and exhumation history of the Japanese Islands.
